About Me

Look closely. The beautiful may be small. - Immanuel Kant

Hello, I'm Sinan. I am a Philosophy teacher, but I am also interested in analog photography as an amateur. I believe that just as philosophy changes the way and angle of thinking of people, photography also changes the way we look at those around us. I take pictures with 35mm and 120mm film. I also prepare my own developer, stop bath and fixer myself because I love the chemistry part of photography and find it very interesting.

I use these chemicals not only for film development, but also for my darkroom printing works. I love to exchange ideas with others on photography.

We live in Çanakkale, Turkey (Dardanelles). Çanakkale is a very ancient and historical region. Troia and many other ancient cities are available. It is also one of the bloodiest fronts of WWI. It is also home to the Gallipoli battlefield. The mythological Mount Ida and Bozcaada (Tenedos), which Homer talks about it proudly, are also in Çanakkale.

I hope you enjoy my photos.

I am grateful to my son who created this website and to my wife who supported me.
